Starbot, a local educational robotics institution that works with students across South Florida, led the camp and worked with the Honey Shine girls to inspire them to become future engineers and inventors. -
Camp Honey Shine Week 4 (24)
The last week of camp proved to be a busy week for our Honey Bugs. Hyatt Regency Miami opened up their doors and hosted our Honey Bugs for two days where the girls were able to experience all of the different parts of a hotel. The girls spent the day with the departments of front desk, housekeeping, kitchen, engineering, catering and more. By the end of the day the girls were ready to "officially" go to work for Hyatt. In addition to the Hyatt field trip a group of our girls visited the Miami Children's Museum where they were able to get hands on experience with different professions. The week ended on a high note with the annual Awards show where many of the girls were awarded on their accomplishments of the summer. -
Camp Honey Shine Week 3 (16)
The third week of camp brought the third annual Talent Show for Camp Honey Shine. With special guests DJ Irie, Gabrielle Union and Sanaa Lathan. With over 22 acts, our girls flourished as they showcased their singing, dancing, word of inspiration and DJ skills. In addition to the talent show, our girls were able to visit with Jennifer Behar of Jennifer's Homemade at her bakery where the girls learned how to bake the most delicious breadsticks as well as learn about how she got into the business. What a week of inspiration for our girls... -

Putting Earth at the top of the list on November 8th, the Honey Shine Mentoring Program hosted its first-ever “Bee” Green Day which resulted in clean beaches and a healthy environment for South Beach. More than 130 young girls, mentors, members (and their daughters) of the Honey Shine Mentoring Program, gathered this weekend to help clean seven city-blocks of South Beach. -
